The Little Mermaid was my favorite movie when I was a child. I watched it so often that the VHS broke! I still have the soundtrack saved in my iTunes and listen (and sing along) from time to time.
I started this digital painting at the beginning of Summer, but didn’t get around to finishing it until now – the first week of fall. This was one of those cases where I never felt satisfied with my own work, and just kept painting over the same things repeatedly. It was frustrating and tiring, and I think I spent way too much time on this than I should have, but today I finally reached a point where I could put down my Wacom tablet in completion. It’s not perfect, but I think I can live with that.
On to the next project!
