This month my work will be in the Hello Kitty and 99 Friends show at P!Q Grand Central in NYC. I was so excited to work on these because Sanrio was a big influence on my artwork as a child. Their characters are all so loveable with so much personality. This show will feature a whole ton of characters as envisioned by different artists. We were all assigned one character, and I got Landry!
Landry is a cheeky raccoon who lives in his tub, and loves to wash anything he can get his hands on. He seems to be a bit of a clean freak…kind of like me! For my piece, I thought that it would be sweet to give him a girlfriend to keep him company during his morning bath. Both of these figures have handmade glass eyes and big fluffy tails that are posable in any way.
You can see Landry’s House Bathtime set at P!Q Grand Central starting April 16th. They will be for sale at the gallery or on their website.
