Hi friends!
Another year, another Designer Con. This year I had way more products than ever before. For the first time I had to use all of my wooden shelves and actually felt like I was running out of room! I was so inspired by the color PURPLE this year, and also my love for dolls. So most of my toys for sale centered around dolls – custom BJD (ball jointed dolls) and Obitsuroid dolls, Kokeshi dolls, and vinyl toys made to look like dolls. And of course, many things were purple!
I also had many prints for sale this year. I love drawing, but I actually find it way more time consuming than making/customizing toys! Back in September and October I finally found time to sit down and draw. And the result is what you see below! Prints galore! I plan to have more drawings for sale in the future so follow more social media for updates!
The best part of DCon this year was meeting up with all my art friends. I haven’t seen most of them for several years due to Covid. And some friends I met in person for the first time!
Martin Hsu kindly invited me to participate in his Goldfish Mermaid custom Show at DCon.
Funny story – back in 2015 when I got my first Designer Con booth, people kept asking me if I was related to Martin (we are not related lol). I have to admit, I understand the confusion since we have the same last name, both our first names start with ‘M’, and our painting themes are similar (nature, sakura flowers, water). Now Martin and I are friends but still joke about being “siblings” (haha).
Here are some items left from the show! (pictured below)
Some of them have already sold to buyers, but I’ll put the rest up for sale on my store today. Thank you for your support and have a happy holidays!
